Testimonials

Dear Pauline,

I am short of words to express my gratitude to you and the whole team at Rosewood. You have been such an amazing support, not only for my dad but also for me, as remaining family member. Knowing that dad was in good hands, getting regular updates and videos/photos was really making that last bit of the journey so much more bearable. But before the journey got tricky, we shared good and fun times at Rosewood. Days were filled with activities, day visits out and fun lunch parties.
The work you do is not a job, nor a service … it’s a true calling ! You and your staff consistently went the extra mile to ensure my dad’s wellbeing, both physically and emotionally. You are a perfectionist professional, always keen to know how best to deal with every issue and improve on it. My dad’s room was the best we could have ever gotten; and the environment in and around the home is peaceful. I would happily recommend Rosewood to anyone in need of competent loving care, so don’t hesitate to use me as a reference.

Dear Pauline

“When my elderly uncle was very sick in hospital, I visited Rosewood Manor, hoping that it might provide a home for him if and when he could be discharged. I had only to walk in, and chat briefly with Pauline, to be convinced that this was the right place for him. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone in to making the surroundings, and the care given within them, appropriate to each individual who was lucky enough to spend time there. In the following weeks, nothing was too much trouble for Pauline as she prepared to receive my uncle. He did get there, and was cared for with such skill and dedication that his condition improved significantly. Sadly, his stay at Rosewood Manor was much too short, but I don’t believe he could have had more sensible and sensitive care than he was given in his final hours. My lasting thanks to all concerned – Pauline, of course, and the other helpers whose support made all this possible.”

“I realize that my sister Winnie sent a notice to your office but I would like to add that personally and on behalf of the family I would very much like to thank you and your team for the care and support you give my mum.

Your company has been a support and caring safety net helping not only myself, my siblings but my mum as well.

Truly we don’t know what people do without a company like Rosewood being available to them so we very much appreciate that you are there when we need you”.

“Dear Pauline and all the Staff at Rosewood,

I cannot thank you all enough for the way you have looked after Dick in the past three years – happiness, cleanliness and love are everywhere at Rosewood and of course you have got to put up fees, I think it is a very reasonable increase and VERY well deserved.

There have been one or two occasions last year when we were celebrating here with a party that he has taken me by the hand and led me to the car to take him back to Rosewood.

Pauline and the staff you mean so much to Dick and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”

Dear Pauline,

“I wanted to thank you for all the kindness and warmth and care you gave to my Auntie Pam.  I think for the first time for many years you were able to look after her in the most proper best way that she deserved.  I just wish we had known earlier that Pam was having difficulty coping with life and could have helped to make the last few years easier for her.

I wasn’t going to be comfortable entrusting Pam’s care to anyone until l saw the professional hands on approach of you and your staff in your well run care home.  Thank you so much for everything you have done for us.

Have a nice day and a great weekend,

Stephen Deane.

Dear Pauline

Where do I start? There is so much to appreciate about you and how you lead Rosewood Manor for the benefit of your residents.

It was clear from even before I arrived that your one and only objective was to help me get better – better enough so that I could go home as soon as possible. This was clearly a genuine desire, in no way just telling me what I would wish to hear.

Throughout my four weeks at Rosewood you and your staff consistently went the extra mile to ensure my wellbeing, both physically and emotionally. You are a perfectionist professional, so well structured, always thinking two steps ahead and consulting to see how best to deal with every issue. You kept in touch with the medical team at Aga Khan Hospital; with Dr Tessa and with physiotherapist Jackie (both of whom added so much value to my time in Karen); and on the last day with Erick, whom you briefed in your normal comprehensive way on how to become my carer once I returned home.

You have around you extraordinary colleagues, and in particular I must pay tribute to my two prime carers, Lucy and Njeri, with whom I developed such strong positive relationships and who excelled in so many ways. Your leadership style with them is admirable.

My room was wonderful; the environment in and around the home was peaceful; and the food was excellent.

I saw a suggestions and complaints box on the ground floor, and I can confidently state that I never felt anywhere near thinking of even the most minor complaint. As for suggestions: keep it up! You are doing a great job, beyond world class.

As I will look back on the Covid interruption to my life I will always cherish the memories of my time at Rosewood: so powerful, so precious in helping me recover.

I would happily recommend your home to anyone in need of competent loving care, so don’t hesitate to use me as a reference, Pauline.”

“Dad was at Rosewood for three years and suffered from progressive dementia.  During his time at Rosewood the team cared for him deeply, they were very understanding of his needs and truly cared for him in all ways.  The staff were not only his carers, but his friend and had such amazing patience with Dad.  We could not have asked for better and are forever thankful for the team at Rosewood”.

Greetings to all and look forward to coming to see you all when Evelyn visits in December.

Best regards,

Sean
